Harbor Point Master Plan

Stamford, CT

The Long Island Sound waterfront master plan transformed 80 acres of industrial brownfield into five mixed-use neighborhoods based on a network of connected open spaces. The site is located on a peninsula south of I-95 within walking distance to the multimodal transportation center in Downtown Stamford.  The development included 2,500 residential units, 350,000sf of commercial office, 60,000sf of retail and a 250-room boutique hotel.

Phase One and Two of this development have been completed in 2013 and have been awarded LEED ND Gold.

The approval process for the plan went through an extensive public engagement process. After the master plan was approved, the design team worked with City Planning and Zoning to adopt zoning changes for the redevelopment of the property.
